Hello, I’m Dr. Amie Shimmel Handa and I’m glad you’re here. I have been practicing healing arts for the past 34 years where I have worked to be a strident presence in the ever-evolving fields of Acupuncture and Chiropractic Medicine.
The three founding principles of my practice are Health, People, and Healing. I understand that treatment requires all three of these elements to be effective.
My philosophy is that optimal healing comes from the practitioner’s ability to effectively relate to that patient. That’s why I am a lifelong advocate of forging strong interpersonal relationships with my patients.
I have been a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture since 1989. Additionally, I have completed an Advanced Acupuncture Certification Course from Lincoln College. My credentials include earning a Master’s Degree with high honors in traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Midwest School of Oriental Medicine. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from The National University of Health Sciences.
